SPORT WINGS ARE IN FULL PRODUCTION: Dateline: 7-12-06
Sport wings are in full production, and we have assembled many at our plant. The assembly process goes smooth, a bit more work over the preceding S-6Es, but less work than the former S-6S wings. We thought we would share these photos of completed and ready to cover wings for our next S-6ES. Enjoy.
CESSNA TO ENTER SLSA MARKET: Dateline:6-7-06
With the announcement of Cessna possibly getting into the SLSA market we were very excited and encouraged. Some may view this as competition, and if it turns out we build a ready to fly plane similar, it could be. But the impact this will have on kits should be similar to what Cessna did for us decades ago, they produce new pilots. New pilots are the hope and thrust of the whole LSA movement, which in turn will result in more kit sales of both LSA applicable planes and experimental. The new Cessna can be viewed as a stepping stone for all involved in aviation. I say go for it Cessna, make your best effort to provide the public a well made, safe airplane. We in the kit business will thank you for the new customers who will be seeking either lower cost, more performance, or something different.
TRIMMED PRODUCT LINE WELL RECEIVED
At the Sun and Fun airshow we announced plans to trim the line “streamline the line” as we say. The plan is now is action and models sales are limited to the line of the Coyote II in all its forms, the Courier in both kit and SLSA, and the S-12XL Airaile. The response has been positive and the orders for kits are on the increase. The demand for well made and super complete and detailed kits is understandable. Those who know our kits and compared them with others are the first ones to point out the detail, completeness and quality. Completeness is something hard to appreciate until you open the box, or have been exposed to other kits. There is simply nothing like our kits in the way of level of finish, fit of parts, and what is supplied.
