RANS S-7 COURIER BY JIM
ANDERSON
Just a quick note with photos,
of my S-7 with the 912S. I have about 75 hours on it now, but I've
been on temporary assignment for the last 4 months and it is cutting into my
flying time.

Just a side shot with the door open. Note the black rubber
channeling around the windshield. It adds a clean finish, and reduces
potential for water entry.

The panel has a TERRA transponder and radio and turn coordinator. I
built a different panel to house the Garmin GPS. Ignition switches
have switch guards (down and closed is on), with no key. The panel has
a thin veneer of ABS plastic that has a dimpled texture. I haven't
mounted the vertical compass card yet. It will be up above and along
the center of the windscreen.

This picture shows the antenna mount (offset from the aluminum stringer and
mounted to an aluminum plate). I rounded the cornering of the skylight
and added rubber channeling for finishing.

This is the plane. Simple polytone finish, trim is stinson maroon.
I have a wonderful plane, and it
performs really well. The 100 HP engine is smooth and quiet with power
to spare. I've lost all my friends with similar class planes because
the performance is so great.
Best Wishes,
Jim Anderson
