Bill Cannaday's S-12XL

I completed the S-12 XL three months ago and yesterday the hour meter rolled over to 50 hours. The aircraft flies much better than I expected at gross weight. Climb is an honest 450-500 FPM at gross with the 503, cruise is 65 mph at 5600-5800 RPM. Handling on the ground and in the air is probably the easiest I have ever experienced. The only adjustment I have made since the first flight has been on the rudder trim tab. The flight characteristics are straight forward and very predictable. I am very pleased with the Aircraft.
