Larry Hobb's S-6S Received airworthyness certificate August 2005. The plane flew great right from the get go and with only a minor trim adjustment later. It has a Rotax 912 ULS 100 hp engine with a Warp Drive 70 inch tapered tip propeller. Wings are the 116 speed wing. Best rate of climb recorded is 1200 fpm on take off at 4700 MSL. Very agile and it really cranks and banks !!, stalls are mild and predictable but very easy to handle and very forgiving. An absolute pleasure to fly. Received the Grand Championship for Craftsmanship Dope and Fabric Award at the annual Rans fly in at Fairfield, Utah June 23 - 25 2006. Travis Dilleha ( PAPA TRAV ) and I flew a lot together this past year ( 2006). He was flying an S7 (Lori Darlin) and me with my S6S. We flew into many of the Idaho back country strips on over nighters. We also flew out to the Oregon coast and out over the Pacific ocean, then this fall through Wyoming, Utah, Arizona and Nevada. We also made it to the Reno Air Races in Nevada. All of the aerial photo's were taken by Trav, of course. On March 5, 2007, PAPA TRAV unfortunatly departed this life I am very sorry to say. All of us that knew Trav will sorely miss him. Can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy flying my S6S. It is equally great flying into the Idaho back country canyons and down the rivers or just high and crusing. N804LH is now affectionatly know as (WILD THING) and that is a story for some other time! As of March 7, 2007 I have logged 375 hours. Good Flying
