The first flight of my RANS S-7 Courier ( Pineapple Express ) was made this morning Sept 3rd. The aircraft preformed flawlessly, and flew hands off at level flight. Climb rate was better than 800rpm with the Rotax 912 in the green. Handling is a pleasure with stalls at 45mph clean and 39 with flaps. The S-7 is a very easy arplane to fly and taxi with no bad manners.
I want to thank Randy and all the people at RANS for such a complete, well thought out kit. And a special thanks to Ed Schwab for his guidance.
The quality is very evident during final assembly as each major assembly fits perfectly to the next.
