Dozens of attendants had a chance to demo the S-19.
RANS Demo Days was very successful! Winds on Friday curtailed us a bit, but managed several demos, and on Saturday we flew several dozens of prospective buyers, and depositors. The S-19 was causing lots of buzz among those who were early depositors, all very glad they have one on order.
Not to be overshadowed both the S-7S and S-6S were constantly in the air showing off these planes fine flying qualities.
The Demo Days concept was simple: show up, sign a few papers, lets go fly. No fees were charged, and we even served a free lunch both days.
Attendance was better than expected for such a short notice and less grand event compared to our usual fly-in. We opted for the Demo Days idea over the Fly-in since we have been super busy this year with other events, the new plane and sales success of current models.
Our staff would like to thank everyone who had a chance to attend. It was great to see some old friends and their planes, and to meet new folks. I really respect those who made the trek to Hays, some all the way from each coast. Of course many were amazed at the wind we routinely fly in, we always explain it like this, if we don't fly in this wind, we don't fly. Fortunately Saturday switched from a strong 20Kts 90 degree crosswind to a minor 12 Kts only 40 degrees off the runway. Above 1500 AGL many experienced a typical phenomenon in the high plains, jet smooth air, despite the high winds.
We hope to see you again next time, we are planning another Demo Days in conjunction with a sheet metal and possibly Rotax engine seminar. We will post news of when such an event is planned. |
