At 11:15 A.M. 3/28/01 the RANS S-18 Stinger II, equipped with the Rotax 582 and new canopy, took to the skies.  The extra power and canopy resulted in significant performance enhancement.

"We are seeing 75-85mph cruise, with excellent shielding from the wind." said Randy Schlitter.

The canopy forms an effective windshield yet it does not take away from the open air feeling.  Ingress and egress are trickier, but worth the effort.
