RANS S-7C receives type certificate

9-14-01: At approximately 2:02 PM a seven and a half year effort to type certify the RANS S-7C Courier concluded in the successful issuance of Aircraft Type Certificate A00011WI by the Wichita Kansas Aircraft Certification Office under the administrating director Ronald K. Rathgeber.

The S-7C was the first Primary Category aircraft project completed through the Wichita office. "It was an experience worth repeating, and we will plan to do so, as new designs enter into the mix," said Randy Schlitter, CEO of RANS. "The entire company says a big thank you to all the FAA project managers and inspectors we worked with and came to know over the years. These people took this project to heart and should be just as proud of this TC as the crew at RANS." Concluded Schlitter.

Until the Sport Plane ruling is resolved, RANS is waiting to pursue a production certificate for the S-7C.  At this time, however, we are offering a nearly identical aircraft called the S-7S.  For details of the model, contact our sales department at 785-625-6346, or refer to the SPORT PLANE NEWS icon on the RANS home page.
