FAA
Administrator Marian Blakey signed off on the final rules forwarding
the LSA package to the Department of Transportation. This is
good news for sport pilots, it is estimated that in less than 12 months
the sport pilot rules will be implemented. In reaction to
the action by Blakey, RANS is now officially in production on the
S-7S. Ready to fly S-7S aircraft will be available in 9-12
months. The S-7S was certified as a primary aircraft in
2001, automatically qualifying it as one of the first LSA
aircraft.
The two place high wing tandem features a 100 HP ROTAX
engine, KING 135A GPS Com, KING transponder, PS ENGINEERING
intercom, day VFR Instruments, cabin heat, GROVE disk brakes, dual
