FIRST FUSELAGE KIT ARRIVES
The first fuselage kit has arrived in good condition at Rocky Mountain Kit planes. Owner, Mark Pringle and team are busy assembling the kit. The shipment arrived in mint condition confirming our packing was able to withstand the assaults of the shippers.

Mark is planning on installing the 914 turbo charged engine, and we will be providing the engine mount. This combination of airframe and engine should make for some very efficient flying at exciting speeds. Remember the LSA speed limit is 120 kts at sea le
vel!

HAPPENINGS INSIDE THE FACTORY

Progress in other areas include continued additions to our final assembly team, and the 5 S-19LS being built to charge the production line are in the fuselage assembly stage.

We have confirmed the new motor mounts, set the trim lines on the cowling, started the re-design of the interior, and canopy cage. All items are seeing small improvements that either increase production ease or lower weight without affecting safety or strength.

A lot of complexity has been taken out of the fuselage by consolidating assemblies into one part and reducing overall part count.

The factory is filling up with parts and vendor items to fulfill the many orders for this plane. Canopies are ordered, and a second shipment of fuel tanks has arrived, along with our second mill run of wing spars.

We are already producing the first batch of wing kits, and should have verification soon.

One great advantage of buying a kit that is entering series production is that improvements to ease of assembly will in most cases benefit the homebuilder.
