RANS S-7 COURIER |
November
1985 was the first flight of the S-7 Courier. Designed originally as a trainer for
aspiring Coyote I pilots, the Courier has since found many other uses. The tandem seating
is ideal for photo work. The rear passenger has a sweeping view from either side. As a
trainer with the instructor in back, the student has an accurate simulation of flying
solo. The Courier performs well as a bush and float plane due to its robust construction.
With the addition of spray gear, the Courier can serve as an ag-plane. The average two-car
garage is space enough to build the Courier. From 500 to 700 hours and an assortment of
common shop tools will be required to complete the kit. Aircraft fabric and painting
skills will present the peak of the challenge. The high level of prefabrication adds speed
and precision to building the Courier.
The Courier makes an excellent
floatplane! Check out this plane and the Coyote and Airaile on
floats in our "Splash & Dash" floatplane video (only
$15). Click Here for more information on
