Thank you! Also, does the same go for the top longeron? Seems that on the bottom I will need to sandwich but on the top/middle I could do it like your video.
It really depends on how your cage fits the tailcone, recently I've done three sandwiched but the one I'm working on at the moment will be the same way as shown in the video. When you are initially fitting the cage tabs into the tailcone area, you can see if the tabs will be a tight enough fit that you will have to sandwich them, or if they are a bit loose, you will be able to fit doublers right up against the longerons as in the video.
When you are ready to fit the cage to the tailcone and before adding the doublers, you can see if the fit is tight or definitely loose enough to require the doubler on the longeron side.
Only the bottom longeron is the issue, the middle and top go exactly as outlined in the
I can push the middle longeron in to sandwich without any skin distortion.

Trying to figure this out now and the manual still shows it being sandwiched between the lower longeron and the stiffener angle.
Understand. But did the manual get updated to reflect that?
Good deal. But I am more worried about changes occurring with no mention of a manual revisions.
How would one know if they had wide or narrow cage?
Good video 👍
However that looks like a major change from the manual.
Did I miss a manual change?
