Boot Cowl Floorboard puzzle.

in S-21 TECH QUESTIONS

Eddie I am puzzled why the Boot Cowl Floorboard (KPIN0139) is fixed in place by a combination of screws with nutplates as well as rivets. Screws are generally limited to parts that need to be removed for access & inspection. But the rivets seem to defeat the purpose here.

Why do we have both used to retain this part............???????

Gjmanzie,

The nutplate holes will end up accepting the rudder pedals and control sticks. as for the rivets holding the other areas of the floorboards its not an issue. there is minimal reasons for the floorboard to ever be removed. Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Ryan
