Trimming bottom of boot cowl.

in S-21 TECH QUESTIONS

Getting ready to paint side skins of boot cowl.

Looks like one would need to trim the bottom aft edge if the boot cowl were to be attached after installing main gear for the S-21 tail dragger. Any reason not to?

I'm just getting into the boot cowls. Another builder told me the main (taildragger) gear has to come off for the boot cowls to be installed, which I took to mean that they (the boot cowls) lay between the top of the gear legs and the fuselage. I have not gone over the drawings yet, though.
