Windshield

in S-21 TECH QUESTIONS

Does anyone have some pics of the windshield install?

Ok well the front corners dd sit on the wing front d spars but at the back of the windshield it sits on top of the wing skins, should I trim it where it fits down in between? Thx

Yes, trim the Acrylic and the lexan to fit in between the wing skins. There are 3 pieces that will be used to hold the windshield and skylight to top of the wing, one of which goes under the windshield and skylight, one of which is a spacer and the other is the top hold down strip.

There is a detailed drawing on figure 10g-12 that shows the orientation of the windshield/ the trim strips/spacers and the wing root flange. It does show a small overlap of the windshield sides over the root flange aft of the spar overlap.
