An I hope I don;t have to drill steel rivets out again.... that sucked...big time....even with an ATS tool....

And after a COVID USPS delay, and some other stuff I needed to do (like house reno's) I finally got back to this... The fella's sent me a new angle that I could match drill to get the right height....

Hey mate.... this is root rib on my right wing... this, I would have thought, would be like all the other wings, and transition nicely onto the spar, but for a reason I cant work out it sits maybe a mm high... I thought while doing it that maybe the skin ends there but it doesn’t, so I think if I proceed it will have a pretty nasty bend down to the spar...

You hardly have to do any, so don't spend big.... I'm just borrowing one of a mate who is building a Van's (and they have to do a tonne).... Good quality dies though!

I'm pretty sure they changed the profile slightly, but sure they'll chirp up on Monday....

Also - hadn't thought to put the AOT sensor there too.... So there is no part of that doubler attached to the rib? What thickness is the doubler?
